Committee meeting 4th May 2010

Minutes of last meeting

Minutes were agreed.

Online banking – David has access to this.  Action:Need to decide whether to change the constitution to allow Fliss to access.

Fliss’ hours have now increased to 20 per week.

No plans have yet been made for the money raised from the jumble sale.

Storage has been offered by the River centre, (but no toys.)

Team building day is on 26th July, they are waiting to hear prices from Harts barn, and possibly Wye Valley spa.

 

Report on Move

The lease is through.  Cost is £1500. The terms are not included.                                       

Action: Fliss is seeing a solicitor on Monday to try to sort out terms. 

 Next week there is a meeting with Bev and School to push for a move date.                                

Action: can we suggest a date for the end of term. Possibly 2nd August.?

There has been lots of confusion with parents as to what is happening in September.

 Actions:

It was suggested we, with the school and River centre arrange a date for parents and others with questions to ask/find out about plans.

Anne will chase up Ofsted re.  Registration. 

Fliss will check with Louisa Lawson, whether Ofsted can inspect our building at the same time as they inspect the school’s new reception classroom.

Serena agreed to be a 2nd person to speak with ofsted.

 

Fundraising

Toddle waddle  - Wednesday 16th June  +  Cake Sale. Action: Fliss to check with school that we can use field.

Jamie Oliver evening _Action:  Sue to ask Josie who does these parties, - what is involved and when could we do one, (if it is what we want)?

 

Summer trip

Options were discussed.  Suggestions made for Puzzlewood, Horse world, Maize maze.  The preferred idea was the Dick Whittington centre at Longhope. 

Action: Fliss will check with Anne whether any other ideas, and contact Dick Whittington centre for prices/times etc.

 

Playgroup hours

In September we will have an extra three afternoons: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  There will be only 4, 2year olds per session, and they will only be in afternoon sessions.  Priority will be given to pre-school children/ those with vouchers.

Action : Fliss will send a letter to parents re. Hours.
