Welcome to Lydney Early Learners (formerly Lydney Playgroup Nursery). We hope this website will help to answer your questions and make you and your children feel at home in our setting.  Our aim is to offer a warm, caring and stimulating environment in which, through the children can gain confidence, self-esteem and become ready to move on to school.

We are members of the Parent and Toddler Association (PATA), (Forest Branch) and are approved by The Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). "The provision for developing children’s learning is good. Relationships are strength, and children are made to feel valued and secure in a lively, stimulating learning environment." (Source - OFSTED inspection report December 2008)A committee is elected each year from the parents to oversee the running and management of the setting and to raise funds.

Our staff are fully trained and qualified. We prepare weekly and daily planning to provide a range of interesting activities which are underpinned by the curriculum.
